Grupo Carso, S.A. de C.V. (GCARSO) informs the investing public that derived from the international public tender for section 2 of the Maya train and having presented the best technical-economic proposal according to the rules of the contest, on April 30, the National Development Fund to Tourism (FONATUR) awarded the consortium made up of its subsidiary Operadora Cicsa, SA de C.V. (CICSA) and the company FCC Construcción, S.A. (FCC), a contract for the supply of materials and construction of the platform and track of the Maya Train, corresponding to the Escárcega-Calkiní Section, for an amount of $18,553.7 million pesos, which includes: $1,676.2 million pesos for 5 years of maintenance and 16% VAT. CICSA participates with 50% and FCC with 50%.
The start of the work is subject to the signing of the respective contract.
